Faint line negative first response pregnancy test

Now im in a really pregnancy scare since her last period is 17th of oct and 24th of nov. And she hasnt got one for now, she said she always had irregular cycles and once skipped one month. In the 21st of dec we took a test and it was a negative, realising its too early we took one on 6th of jan.
But online reviews are saying that faint positives from the test are FALSE. That's why I asked that question since I got a light colored line in the morning. Never been pregnant before and not much experience with home testing.
