Cause, if it's true, it's not working. Imagick extension was loaded but no number of supported formats. Edit: I found the solution for my problem. Because I already installed imagemagick software before, my MAGICK_HOME set to c:\ImageMagick\modules\coders. All I have to do was to copy all IM_MOD_*.dll files to this directory.

- I did the same as you in xampp except for not doing step 2/ and in step 3/ I used a dll I found online and it used to worked OK. Unless you have to have Imagick I would not bother with it and use exec() with the command line options. Imagick does not seem very well supported, documentd or have as many options.

- Dec 06, 2014 · If you are like me, and running PHP 5.2.X on an Ubuntu system that normally ships with PHP 5.3.X, it is difficult to compile your own PHP from altered source so that it uses bundled GD instead of system GD, since libaprutil1-dev and apache2-prefork-dev depend on some non-dev packages that essentially break your ability to compile this unless you first were to uninstall PHP and Apache entirely.
